Athanasia (2017) | 14th Muestra De Cine de Lavapiés (Madrid, Spain)

So glad that film “Athanasia” in collaboration with Musician Rey Eisen is selected at the 14th Muestra De Cine de Lavapiés from 23rd of June to 2nd of July 2017 (Madrid, Spain).

The “Muestra De Cine de Lavapiés” is an event organized by a group of neighbors. A week of projections that is celebrated at the beginning of each summer in diverse spaces of the neighborhood. We like to take the cinema to the street. In this project nobody charges, nobody pays, we bet because the desire flows; not the money. A third and a half of the program of the show are integrated works that come to us through this annual call we now launch. We call on all friendly tribes to send us free audiovisual works: experimental pieces, shorts, menhirs, tasty stories, boars, insurgent documentaries, pirate ships and even bards.

13th Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) #PostFuture Journey (Athens, Greece)

We are pleased that film “Athanasia” by Fred L’Epee in collaboration with Music Composer Rey Eisen is selected for the Digital Art Exhibition #PostFuture Journey at the 13th Athens Digital Arts Festival 2017 (Athens, Greece)

Flying beyond digital reaching the #PostFuture

Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) continues its collaboration with Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” and introduces the multimedia exhibition under the title #PostFuture Journey from 08/03 to 23/07 2017.

The airport, a place of shifting realities, where travelling and everyday life coexist, constitutes the ideal starting point to takeoff towards an interactive journey into the “post-future”. Visitors are prompted to experience a “post-digital” reality, where the digital merges with the analog and the physical.

The exhibition will be held in the exhibition hall Arts & Culture located at the Arrivals Level of the airport. It includes installations as well as video art and animation screenings of both Greek and foreign artists. For the purpose of the exhibition, Athens Digital Arts Festival chooses 41 video art and animation works, 25 of which will be screened for the first time in Greece, the impressive audiovisual installation “Light Catcher” of Giannis Kranidiotis, a dialogue between sound and light and the interactive installation “Emotional Mirror” from the company random quark (Theodoros Papatheodorou Phd, Tom Chambers) which enables the audience to interact with it, by analysing facial expression and reflecting them back as tweets.

The first launch of our journey to the fascinating “post-future” is waiting for you in Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

I am so pleased to be Jury member of the ‘Meters International Film Festival’ (MIFF) to be held on April 1, 2017 at Bristol Valley Theater, New York.

portrait-8

The Meters Film Festival (MIFF) is a not for profit organisation that has been set up to give audiences a chance to see films that might not be available in other local public venues, while also inspiring local film makers with access to workshops led by leading industry experts.

It is the mission of the MIFF to support the work of talented and dedicated filmmakers and to share their work so that it may inspire, educate, and transform youth and professionals in the youth work field. Our main target group is the generation of developing young filmmakers but we are very delighted at every entry. The essence of this success is to motivate common activity among young inland filmmakers and other international organizations taking part in the audiovisual program.
